In 1989 my mother, Nicole Grandjean, began her fine food wholesale business "Nicole’s Gourmet Foods" with the goal of providing customers with carefully selected, quality products at competitive prices. Of equal importance, she wanted to provide her customers with personal, knowledgeable customer service and support. Back then, the delivery vehicle was a 1979 Plymouth station wagon and the office rode shotgun. Nicole delivered all the orders herself in the mornings and the afternoons were dedicated to sales. Her hard work & dedication resulted in a loyal following of culinary professionals, many of which are still customers to this day.
In 1998 when I partnered with Nicole, we changed a few things, including our company name. We began to greatly expand our product line to include more specialty & food service items, as well as a large selection of baking and pastry products. Today, almost 20 years later, a lot has changed. We recently moved to a beautiful new office & warehouse facility in Alhambra. We have long‐since retired our station wagon in favor of new refrigerated delivery trucks. Nicole no longer makes deliveries (but myself or our salespeople gladly will in a pinch) and our family of employees has grown considerably as has our product line to include over 400 cheeses & 2,000+ other specialty items. We work diligently to continue and bring new and exciting culinary products from Europe and around the world to some of the finest culinary artists in Los Angeles. Though many things have changed; our dedication to our customers has not. We continue to provide the same level of professional, personal attention as always.
